Reanimator

I thought "Reanimator" would be a good name for these guys in mah story. Similar to necromancers, but don't perform rituals or use magic. They experiment on dead animals, trying to reanimate them and bring them back to life. They have been successful in turning dead animal corpses into a zombie-like state.

You might be wondering what's with the mask covering its face. First off, masks are just in these days and I wanted it to look cool and creepy. Second, they wear them to keep them from socializing and making noise; they need a quiet environment to not disturb the subjects. The masks also protect them from dangerous animals, some of which spit venom and have sharp claws and teeth. It also creates a feeling of anonymity and comfort.

Their laboratory is underground and hidden from the surrounding villages, which even then are miles and miles away.

Anyone unfortunate enough to stumble upon their location will be welcomed by a disturbing scene of slaughter, death, and pools of animal blood. The Reanimators have workers who find animals to slaughter for resources. Any intruders will be killed or used in experiments. But in the end, they'll always be killed and sliced open.
